St Nicholas Abbey Goes Full Steam Ahead

Circa 1658, St. Nicholas Abbey is one of the oldest plantations in the Caribbean. Open to the public as an historic attraction, visitors can tour the Jacobean great house, grounds and rum distillery, enjoy a rum punch in their charming courtyard cafe and ride the train to Cherry Tree Hill. It’s a great day out for adults and children alike.

The round-trip ride starting at St. Nicholas Abbey covers 3km and lasts for approx. 45 minutes, including stops. One of the highlights will be the stop at Cherry Tree Hill with its magnificent views of the Scotland District countryside and eastern coastline, have your cameras ready.
