Freshly Picked, All You Need Is A Straw

There is much published about the healthy benefits of fresh coconut water. Still, there is sometimes some confusion between the solid brown nuts seen in supermarkets and the larger green coconuts containing a straw. They are the same; however, the green coconut is young and not fully ripe, so it contains more water. They are full of are packed with electrolytes and micronutrients and therefore fantastic to help hydrate in our hotter climate.

When driving around Barbados, you will often see coconut vendors on the side of the road, simply pull over safely and they will just slice off the top and give you a straw and you can instantly enjoy the freshest possible version of this amazing health-giving drink.
